Team Maryland U18 finished up their regular season against the Youngstown Phantoms this weekend in Rockville, Maryland. The weekend before Team Maryland faced-off against the Philadelphia Revolution Junior A (EJHL) program. Team Maryland competed hard despite losing 9-2, while Team Maryland was missing several key players due to injuries and SAT’s. That night, Team Maryland defeated league and district foes the Carolina Jr. Hurricanes 8-2. On Sunday, Team Maryland played their third Junior A game of the year against the Philadelphia Little Flyers (AJHL) team. Team Maryland easily defeated them 10-3. Team Maryland finished the regular season with a 2-1 record against Junior A programs by defeating the Philadelphia Junior Flyers (AJHL), the Philadelphia Little Flyers (AJHL), and losing to the Philadelphia Revolution (EJHL).
This completes the regular season for Team Maryland as they finished the regular season with a 34-21-1 record. The first stop in their playoff run is the NAPHL League playoffs in San Jose, California February 12-15. Following San Jose, Team Maryland will play a series of exhibition games against the Youngstown Phantoms and the Boston Advantage before heading into Southeast Districts March 11-14 at Rockville Ice Arena.
